Construction Update

-8 of the 14 new trees in the park have died.

-Daniel and Debra Obregon, owners of Mint Condition, a store adjacent to the project site, claim to have construction-related problems. They include a dislocated door frame, shattered glass, and a flooded basement. Mr. Obregon stated that on August 26th, their glass front door shattered, due to constant traffic of heavy equipment. He said, "When I went over to the site and told them what happened, and asked who was in charge, they said 'Nobody.' and walked away. Nobody knows and nobody is responsible."

-Other business people, as well as home owners, adjacent to the park, claim that the construction has caused structural damage to their buildings.

-Open hatchways, some 3-feet deep, were found in the park, without proper security barriers.
